Dr. Masoud Taghavi

Dr. Masoud Taghavi is a postdoctoral research fellow at Dokuz Eylul University, supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship under the Horizon Europe programme. He conducts his research under the supervision of Prof. Can Ozgur Colpan and Prof. Ibrahim Dincer, focusing on hydrogen and fuel cells, LNG systems, carbon capture and utilization (CCUS), and renewable energy technologies.

He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering – Energy Conversion in 2022 and held a previous postdoctoral position at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea, under the supervision of Prof. Chul-Jin Lee. Dr. Taghavi also served as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Technical and Vocational University, Iran, and brings over a decade of experience in HVAC engineering, academic research, and teaching. His contributions have earned him recognition as “Top Researcher” and “Top Lecturer” at his home institution.
