Dr. Jemal Fito Nure holds a Ph.D. in Water and Wastewater Treatment and served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of South Africa (UNISA), Johannesburg, from June 2021 to May 2024. He received a Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry (2010) and Environmental Engineering (2018). His professional experience includes five years of collaboration with industry during his doctoral research, bridging university research and industrial applications.

Dr. Nure has published approximately 45 articles in internationally recognized journals since 2017, with a focus on wastewater treatment technologies for industrial and municipal effluents. His primary research interests include advanced water and wastewater treatment methods, micropollutant removal—particularly PFAS—and resource recovery within the framework of the circular economy to promote water sustainability.
