Dr. Mohd Ashraf Dar
Dr. Mohd Ashraf Dar is a postdoctoral fellow at Yildiz Technical University, joining the 2025 cohort of the ECO-SPHERE programme. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the Central University of Rajasthan, India, with a focus on environmental microbiology and agrochemical bioremediation. His research explores the interactions between pollutants and microbes, specializing in the biodegradation of emerging contaminants using microbiological, biochemical, and bioinformatics approaches.
Dr. Dar has published extensively on microbial biotransformation processes and has received recognition through the prestigious INSPIRE fellowship from India’s Department of Science and Technology. His current work investigates indigenous bacterial strains for biofertilizer development that supports agrochemical degradation and advances circular economy practices in sustainable agriculture.
