Dr. Mustafa Yavuz is a postdoctoral research fellow at Dokuz Eylül University, supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Fellowship under the Horizon Europe programme (ECO- SPHERE). He conducts his research under the supervision of Can Özgür Çolpan and İbrahim Dinçer, focusing on hydrogen-based fuel systems, sustainable aviation fuels, and low-carbon energy pathways for transport applications.

He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, where his research focused on hydrogen-assisted combustion in internal combustion engines and emission characteristics. His current project, HYSAF-3E, investigates hydrogen blending with sustainable aviation fuels through thermodynamic modelling, lifecycle assessment, and techno-economic analysis. His research aims to develop practical and scalable low- and zero-carbon fuel solutions to support global decarbonisation efforts.
