Dr. Raana Fahim is a postdoctoral fellow in the ECO-SPHERE Programme (Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND) at Yildiz Technical University, Türkiye, working on sustainable wastewater treatment and circular resource recovery under the supervision of Professor Ebru Koca Akkaya. Her research focuses on the removal of persistent organic pollutants, particularly perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), using advanced hybrid treatment systems that integrate bio-based materials and catalytic processes for environmental remediation and resource valorization. She completed her PhD at Southeast University and previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Hohai University. She joined ECO-SPHERE to contribute to circular economy solutions for cleaner water and more sustainable environmental technologies.
