Ford Otosan (Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.S.)

Established in 1959, Ford Otosan is Ford Europe’s largest commercial vehicle production center with a production capacity of 721,700 vehicles, 436,500 engines, and 140,000 powertrains in 2022. With 1688 R&D employees, Ford Otosan has the largest R&D organization in the Turkish industry and is exporting engineering. It serves as the global engineering center for Ford’s heavy commercial vehicles, related diesel engines, and engine systems, as well as the support center for Ford’s light commercial vehicle design and engineering. KalyonPV (Kalyon Gunes Teknolojileri Uretim A.S.)

Details

KalyonPV is an industrial leader in solar energy technologies in Turkiye with its experience in producing different types of solar cells. With more than 100 R&D personnel, KalyonPV mainly focuses on R&D in the areas of prototype studies for semi-conductor ingot and wafer production, which constitutes the basis of chip technology, TOPCon panel technology and Gallium doped panels, Perovskite and multilayer cell technologies, Development of wafer slicing techniques, N-Type monocrystalline ingot, wafer production, Flexible Panel studies for applicability on curved floors and ESS studies. Within ECO-SPHERE KalyonPV will host researchers mainly in research topics involving ingot, wafer, cell and module production. Details

KIPAS, a textile company located in Kahramanmaras, is a part of KIPAS holding founded in 1984. KIPAS Holding operates in six sectors: textile, cement, paper, energy, education and logistics. KIPAS is engaged in textile production; in addition to Weaving, Open-End and Ring yarn production there are Fabric Dyeing-Finishing and Denim fabric production processes are carried out. Kipas Tekstil, which has recently been on the world agenda with its Technical Textile and R&D studies, also made a name for itself with its washable, multi-use, contamination-reducing mask production during the pandemic period. KIPAS has been involved in a H2020 project on circular supply chain of new cotton textile, which has ended in September 2023.

Within ECO-SPHERE, SAMPA will host researchers with particular interest in sustainability topics in heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry.

Simplexion Informatics Ltd., founded in 2006, mainly operates in the areas of developing industrial control engineering tools and software with RFID based product monitoring system, providing consultancy services in the field of information security, and offering expertise and solutions concerning payment and clearing services and transaction processing in banking systems.
