YTU Central Laboratory works to produce scientific knowledge and develop opportunities to transform it into technology. With a collective force of more than 8,000 R&D personnel actively engaged in groundbreaking projects, YTU Yildiz Technopark stands as a pivotal center for research and innovation. The impact of this Technopark is further emphasized by the successful completion of over 4,000 projects, showing its commitment to fostering technological progress and contributing to economic growth. YTU Yildiz Technopark proudly holds the distinction of being the largest and most awarded technology development zone in Turkiye. YTU is one of the high performing universities in Turkiye with regards to EU funded projects. Within the Horizon Europe 2021-2027 program by October 2023, YTU ranked 7th in all universities in Turkiye regarding the total funding acquired. YTU has participated in 54 international research projects since 2009. Among them, 28 are FP7, Erasmus, Prima, Horizon Europe, and ERA-NET.
